June retrospective

As usual my blogging is behind. I thought I would try to catch up with a few retrospectives. Here are our some of our June highlights. The picture above was taken at the halifax waterfront. To mark the end of Miro's temporary job working as a community developer with HRM we decided to have a fancy night. I convinced Isaiah to take a bath in the afternoon and put on his fancy clothes. We headed to Murphys on the water for some good Maritime food and then to Cow's ice cream. As you can see, another unemployed man (not quite broken though) on a Halifax pier.

As a side note, Isaiah got really into the fancy clothes and wanted to wear them to preschool the next day.

In early June we had some time to hit the beach. This is us with mom and dad at Queensland.

After Miro finished work we took a trip to Ontario to visit with Miro's family. Isaiah and Audrey were great little travellers. We went by plane. Here we are waiting at the Hfx airport for our plane to get to the gate.
First stop was to Renfrew to visit with Jayne, Hugh and their kids - Kenya, Tal, Kobi and Tavi and Marcus. We packed a lot into only a few days there - we headed out to the new property and enjoyed the Renfrew County fair celebrations. Isaiah loved being reintroduced to his cousins.

Then we headed off to Cambridge to see Babi, Deda and Paul, Rhona and Emily. We did a few day trips while everyone was working including a trip to Toronto. Isaiah was so excited about taking the train and the subway. Then he and his dad took a hiking trip to Webster falls.

On the weekend we went to see the site an old Native village complete with long houses. We also took a short hike to a viewpoint along the Bruce trail.

But most of our time was spent enjoying the farm. Isaiah loved the pool. We went for lots of walks and paddled around the pond. Before we knew it, it was time to come home.

We were there over father's day so Sunday night Jane hosted a father's day feast for us all with Czech cabbage, dumplings, gulas, meats, potatoes and even sauages to please little ones.

As usual the time there was too short but it was great to reconnect and introduce Audrey to her Rak roots.

Here are a few shots of the kids after we got home. Audrey is sporting alot of hand-me-downs we got while away from all the aunties.

And Isaiah's being silly - as usual.
